Utility Hotline is where people who are about to break ground come looking for private utility locating. Tell us where you work and what you find, and we will put the jobs that fit in front of you. It is free to join, and there is no commission and no fee per request.

How it works

From this form to a job you quote

  1. 1. You send this form

    Company, one office, how far you travel, and the work you take on. It takes a couple of minutes and costs nothing.

  2. 2. A person reads it

    We check that you are a real locating company working where you say you are. Nothing is published and nothing is sent to you before that is done.

  3. 3. Requests are chosen by hand

    When a locating request comes in, someone here reads it and decides which companies it goes to, based on where the work is and what it needs. Nothing is sent out automatically.

  4. 4. You quote the customer directly

    You set your own scope, price, and timing, and you deal with the customer yourself. We take no commission and no fee per request.

Straight answers

What does it cost?
Joining is free. We take no commission on work you book through us and no fee per request. The price you agree with a customer is between the two of you.
Will I get every request in my area?
No. A person reads each request and picks the companies it goes to, so being listed is not the same as being sent everything nearby. We would rather send you fewer jobs that actually fit.
Can I edit my listing myself?
Yes. Sign in and you can edit your company name, description, website, services and office details yourself at any time. Adding or removing an office, correcting where you appear on the map, or changing your sign-in address still go through us — email support@utilityhotline.org for those.
We already work with Hydrovac Hotline.
Then you may already have an account here. Sending this form anyway is harmless: it will not create a second listing. Agreeing to hydrovac work over there never signed you up for locating requests here — that is the box at the bottom of this form, and it is the only thing that does it.
How do I stop?
Email us and we take you off the list. There is no notice period and nothing to cancel.
